Hip hop has always been the urban model of social and economic independence. Russell Simmons, Uncle Luke Sky Walker, Master P, Dj Magic Mike, and J. Prince among others took this concept even further by virtually ‘creating an economy’ (as Codie G would say) which allowed these companies to finance themselves which ultimately created a domino effect. However, one intelligent hoodlum doesn’t quite receive his proper due. Eazy-E and the infamous Ruthless Records has spawned more CEO’s and traceable wealth than any other company I can think of.
